The law of the City of Myrtle Beach, SC prohibits commercial beach weddings within city limits on beach — see it here: https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/things-to-do/weddings-honeymoons/know-the-rules
In summary it says: “City of Myrtle Beach public beach: Commercially produced weddings are not permitted on the public beach [within city limits]. Non-commercial weddings are allowed on the public beach. A commercially produced wedding includes services that have been paid for…” And there is more in there you NEED to read yourself.
So MB law you offers 1 exception for beach weddings: It’s allowed ONLY above the high tide line (wrack line/ or where sand meets the dunes) at a few older oceanfront hotels that were “grandfathered” in because they are private property.
What’s the difference between commercial and non-commercial?
