However, they are banned as illegal fireworks in North Carolina and South Carolina, due to the huge fire and death hazards they present. Wedmate: a new word~ What is a “wedmate”? It’s a neutral term for either a bride or groom, regardless of gender or if wedding happened yet. Since LGBT marriages became legal for US citizens, wedding industry wordsmiths stumble on gender-biased words for people ABOUT TO BE married or soon after (such as “bride” and “groom”).
