How to Hire BeachPeople Weddings

We are so pleased to do this with you! Thank you for choosing us to share this amazing event in your life. Next steps, please do the following:

1) HOW TO BOOK ANY PACKAGE WITH AN OFFICIANT:
First, confirm we are available on your wedding date and time by emailing us or call (336) 314-0503 (but email is best). Next, you may fill out our CONTRACT (click here) and EITHER: print/ write/ scan/ email it back (or street mail), -OR- fill it online/ save/ email it back. From that we will set your retainer fee total and email you the how-to-pay options. The retainer amount varies with each package, so look at the top of that package’s webpage for retainer info, or its on the contract too.

2) HOW TO BOOK PHOTOGRAPHER-ONLY:
First, confirm Margo is available on your date and time by emailing her or call (336) 314-0503 (but email is best). Next, you may fill out an PHOTOS-ONLY CONTRACT (click here) and EITHER: print/ write/ scan/ email it back (or street mail), -OR- fill it online/ save/ email it back. From that we will set your retainer fee total and email you the how-to-pay options (see #3 below). The retainer amount varies with each package, so look at that service description for retainer info, or its on the contract too.

3) We accept the following forms of payment:

Cash (US Dollars)
Credit/Debit card-use our online safe & secure payment link. Accepting Visa, M/C, Discover, DC, JCB, Amex. Please email us for the required invoice number and link.
Money order or cashier’s check-made payable to David Sears or Margo Sears only.
PayPal.com-send to [email protected] but use as last resort only please.
NO personal checks please! If a personal check is sent, we will mail it back to you and your reservation will expire after the original seven days. We apologize for any inconvenience, but our bank puts holds on out-of-state checks and also fines us heavily for any returned checks.

This retainer is deducted from your total and is non-refundable. If your ceremony is cancelled or rescheduled, it can be used as a credit with us within 5 years from cancellation date. The total balance is due before your ceremony on your wedding date. Of course, payment in full is also acceptable anytime.

4) SEVEN-DAYS-HOLD POLICY: We will temporarily hold your date and time for seven (7) days while waiting for your retainer contract to arrive. If you do not call or email us to get a confirmed extension beyond those 7 days, we will release your date to other couples on the 8th day.

5) TRAVEL FEES: NO TRAVEL FEE for Ocean Isle Beach NC, Sunset Beach NC, Cherry Grove SC, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Those 4 are some of the BEST locations for weddings-highly recommend those 4.

Below are round-trip fee for each trip to ceremony (and to rehearsal, if applies). Please understand, when we travel far we cannot perform other business that day, so this fee covers more than gasoline and vehicle:

Wilmington NC, Wrightsville Beach NC, Myrtle Beach State Park SC, Springmaid Pier area, Surfside Beach SC, Garden City SC. $50 (2-3 hours roundtrip for us)

6) NEXT STEPS AFTER CONTRACT & RETAINER: Once those arrive, we countersign the contract, mark retainer paid, and scan/email a copy to you, along with more next-steps instructions and 20+ vows choices, suggestions, etc. ALSO, you’ll get another email from us to book our required phone call appointment (about 1 month ahead of wedding) to customize your vows, cover legal aspects, timing, rings, questions, decisions, details, and so forth.

7) RAIN: We do not provide rain back-up locations. That is the couple’s responsibility to have one for an outdoor wedding (but we can help with ideas sometimes). Rain is rarely a problem in this geographical location; see our Beach Wedding Tips web page!

8) SPECIAL SUPPLIES: The couple is responsible for supplying the following ceremonial items IF you choose these particular ceremonies: Gift Roses, Wedding Broom, Unity Candles, cords for Handfasting, or the ritual items and gifts for the Shaman Wedding. We will supply all other items including Sand ceremony items.

9) HOW LONG? Speaking part of ceremony is 3-12 minutes depending on which ceremony. When you also have photography, different ages of guests, going far down the beach, weather, guests’ delays/traffic, and other factors it can go up to 60 mins or more.

10) ALL LIFESTYLES WARMLY WELCOME: Gay couples, LGBT couples, multi-racial, non-religious, pregnant brides, already-parents, divorced, and live-togethers are all welcome. Any music, any dress code, anything else that makes YOUR wedding more yours, is certainly welcome. If you wish, you are welcome to talk to us about it first too.
